Why Company Profile Setup Matters #

Your company profile dictates how Workslayr represents your business in various functions. For instance, when you create an invoice, send a proposal to a client, or generate a contract, the details from your company profile are automatically populated. This saves time and ensures brand consistency. Having correct company information also facilitates accurate reporting and ensures that all modules, from Leads & Sales Pipeline to Client Management, reflect your business accurately.

Key Information to Configure #

The company profile setup involves entering essential information about your business. While specific fields may vary, generally, you will need to provide details such as:

• Company Name: Your official business name.
• Contact Information: Official email address, phone number, and website URL. These are crucial for clients and internal communications.
• Business Address: Your primary operational address. This is often used for billing purposes and appears on official documents generated by Workslayr.
• Company Logo: Uploading your company logo ensures that all client-facing documents, such as invoices and proposals, reflect your brand identity.
• Default Settings: This may include setting your default currency, time zone, or other global preferences that impact how Workslayr functions for your team.

How to Access and Complete Your Company Profile #

As an administrator, you typically access your company profile settings through the ‘Settings’ section in the left navigation bar. Look for a section labeled ‘Company Settings’ or similar. Workslayr distinguishes between employees based on their configured access. All employees, including administrators, have a ‘My Dashboard’. Administrators also have an ‘Admin Dashboard’ for company-wide oversight.

Employee Profile Configuration #

When adding or editing an employee, administrators configure several settings that affect their interaction with the system. These settings determine how individual employees track their work and what they view on their dashboard.

• Clock In/Out Button: The ‘Clock In’ button is visible on the ‘My Dashboard’. This allows employees to record their work start and end times.
• Start Timer Setting: For each employee, the ‘Start timer without clock in’ setting can be enabled or disabled.
  • If enabled, employees can start tasks without first clocking in. This is suitable for flexible work arrangements.
  • If disabled, clock-in is required before any task timer can be initiated.
• Working Environment: Upon clocking in, employees specify their working environment as Office, Home, or Other.
• Dashboard Customization: Employees can personalize their ‘My Dashboard’ by selecting which widgets are displayed. Available widgets include Profile Info, My Tasks, Weekly Time Logs, and Projects.

Departments categorize employees based on their functional areas. Each employee is assigned to a specific department. This allows for focused reporting and management within the system’s various core modules.

• Assign employees to their respective departments when adding employees or editing their profiles.

Configuring Teams #

To configure teams:

• Create new teams and assign appropriate members.
